Migrate virtual machines
After completing an instant restore, you can migrate the restored virtual machine to the production site. This ensures optimal I/O performance and full data synchronization.

Perform automatic migration
- Launch the Recovery Portal.
- Navigate to the Recent Tasks section.
- When an instant restore task is fully completed, its status will display as Ready to migrate. To proceed, select the task and click Migrate.
Note:
- Virtual machine migration relies on native VMware vCenter migration tools like vMotion and Storage vMotion. If your VMware vSphere license doesn't support these features, or if you're migrating VMs between standalone ESXi hosts, the VMware vCenter migration methods won't be available. In these cases, the migration option will be disabled, and you'll need to manually migrate the ESXi virtual machines.
