Security
Safe Access’s security functions enhance the protection of connected devices from intrusions, dangerous websites, malware, social engineering, unwanted software, potentially harmful applications, and phishing.
To enable Network Protection:
- Go to Security > Network Protection.
- Enable one or both of the following databases:
- Threat Intelligence database: Tick the Enable Threat Intelligence database checkbox.
- Google Safe Browsing: Tick the Enable Google Safe Browsing checkbox and enter an authentication key in the API key field. See this tutorial on how to get the API key for Google Safe Browsing.
- Click on the Apply button to activate Network Protection.
Note:
- You can still access a website deemed dangerous by Network Protection: click Proceed anyway on the warning page, and then clear your browser's DNS cache. After doing so, the warning page will not appear for that IP address/domain for the next twenty-four hours.
To configure an exception list:
- Go to Security > Exception List to set the domains or IP addresses you wish to allow from Network Protection.
- You can perform the following actions:
- Add: Click Add to add a new domain or IP address to Exception List.
- Edit: Select the domain or IP address you wish to edit and click Edit.
- Remove: Select the domain or IP address you wish to remove and click Remove.
Note:
- You can allow websites you trust to pass the filtering of Network Protection. However, the websites included at the Exception List tab will still be blocked if they are also listed on the filters at Profile > Web Filter.
