Using Archive Viewer in Synology Chat

This feature allows users to view all the messages archived in private channels, public channels, and conversations, as well as to use the search option to instantly find specific messages in Archive Viewer.

To view archived messages:

  1. Click the profile icon on the upper-right corner and select Archive Viewer, which will open in a new tab.
  2. Click Private channel, Public channel, Conversations, or Bots at the top of the page to switch among channels and conversations. The corresponding archived channel and conversation names are displayed in the left panel.
  3. Hover your mouse over a time period and click to view the archived messages.
  4. Click the Delete icon on the right to delete the message history of a specific time period.

To find specific messages:

  1. Type the keywords in the search bar, or click the options in Operators.
  2. Press the Enter key.

Note:

  • If a user deletes an archived message, only the message in the user's Archive Viewer will be deleted. The other members in the channel or conversation can still view the archived message in their Archive Viewer.
