How do I set up Synology Calendar accounts?

This article shows you various ways to set up Synology Calendar accounts.

Resolution

As you set up Synology Calendar accounts1, keep in mind that Synology Calendar determines the recipient email addresses2 for receiving event invitations (.ics) in the following order: DSM account > MailPlus Server.3 This prioritization specifically applies to Team Contacts in Synology Contacts.

Notes:

  1. Following the update to Calendar 2.5.0, changes to email addresses after completing the initial account update may not apply to past events. This may result in users being uninvited to events.
  2. These email addresses are exclusively for receiving event invitations. To set up email addresses for sending and creating event invitations, go to Synology Calendar > Settings > Email Account.
  3. If no email sources are available, the system will generate an email for Calendar.
