Network
This page contains two tabs, one displays the network settings of the high-availability cluster and the other the hosts. You can get an overview of the network interface usage and create or remove additional cluster connections if necessary.
HA Cluster
General
The hostname of the cluster is shown here. Note that the hostname must be different from either of the two hosts.
Network
All network connections, regardless used or un-used, are displayed in this field. At least one of the cluster interfaces is displayed here. Additional interfaces can be manually added by clicking the Manage Network Interface button. The Heartbeat interface listed is the only Heartbeat connection allowed in the cluster.
The grid shows the below information:
- Interface: The network interface(s) on the active server.
- Speed: The speed of the interface.
- IP address: When creating a high-availability cluster, an IP address for the high-availability is appointed manually to receive incoming connections. Additional high-availability cluster IP addresses can be created if necessary.
- Connection: Displays whether this interface is connected or not.
- Details: The role of the interface (Cluster or Heartbeat)
To configure network interface settings:
You can manually configure the IP address and subnet mask of both servers in a cluster. Click the Manage Network Interface button to edit network interface settings.
- Go to Server Network Information and click Configure Server Network.
- Choose Use manual configuration and manually enter the following information for each or either server:
- IP address
- Subnet mask
- Gateway
- DNS Server
- Click OK to continue.
- Click Apply to save the new settings.
Note:
- Make sure all Ethernet cables are properly connected.
- If you are unable to configure network interface settings, please go to the Cluster page first to resolve any system abnormality.
Hosts
This tab shows the status and information of network interfaces on the active and the passive server:
- Network Interface: The physical network interface on the server.
- Connection: Displays whether this interface is connected or not.
- Details: The role of the interface (Cluster or Heartbeat)
