License Plate
The Recording > License Plate page allows you to browse, play, download, comment, lock, delete, and edit the license plate recognition results from DVA models. You can also manage the license plate database and export license plate result reports. Detection results contain information such as the camera or task name, detection target, and event type.
To filter clips:
Use the buttons and filters on the right side of the page.

to switch between the List view and the Thumbnail view.

and set conditions to find specific clips.
- Use the Filter by Date list.
To play clips:
Click on the thumbnail of a clip. See Recording Player for detailed operations.
To download clips:
Select clips and click Download.
To add comments to clips:
- Select a clip and click Comment.
- Enter or modify the comment and click Save.
To delete clips:
Select clips, click Delete, and select an option.
To lock/unlock clips:
Locking videos prevents them from being removed by the delete button or archive rotation settings. Click Lock/Unlock and select an option.
To manage license plate results:
- To edit existing license plate results, click More > Edit license plate.
- To register a label to the license plate database, select the result and click on More > Edit license plate.
To generate a license plate report:
- Click on More > License Plate Report.
- Under Data Source, select the tasks from which you want reports.
- Select the time range and file format. The report can be saved in HTML or XLSX format.
- Click Export.
To manage the license plate database:
Click More > Manage license plate database to manage license plates in your database. License plates are added to allow or block lists for easy recognition.
To add a license plate:
- Click Add.
- Fill in the license plate number, select Allowed or Blocked, and add a description (optional).
- Click Add.
To edit a license plate:
- Select the license plate you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- You can edit the license plate number, change the mark, or edit the description.
- Click OK to save.
To remove a license plate:
- Select the license you want to edit.
- Click Remove.
- Click Delete to confirm you want to remove this license plate from the database.
Notes:
- This page is only applicable to users of DVA series devices.
- You cannot lock clips that are still recording.
- If the license plate is not in the database, it will show as Unknown in the Mark column.
- The license plate database can contain up to 10,000 license plates in total.
- The maximum length of a license plate is 10 Unicode characters.
- If People and Vehicle Detection tasks are deleted, the corresponding reports will also be deleted.
