Log

On the Log page, logon events and changes made to domain objects will be recorded as logs. Domain administrators can refer to the records to monitor Synology Directory Server's status and troubleshoot any possible problems.

To get started with audit logging for your Synology Directory service, please go to Log > Settings and tick Enable audit logging. Please note that recording logs may affect the database performance of your Synology Directory Server.

To manage logs, do any of the following:

  • Go to the search bar on the upper-right corner to search for logs matching the specified criteria.
  • Click the refresh icon on the lower-right corner to get updates of the log list.
  • Click Clear to delete all log records. Please note that the deletion of logs is irreversible.

Note:

  • When the number of logs reaches the limit (200,000 logs), the 5,000 oldest logs will be deleted for space-saving consideration.
