Log

The Log page displays CMS host logs and server notifications, and provides options to search for, filter, export, and clear logs and notifications. Only the users belonging to the administrators group can view or delete all the host logs and server notifications. General users can only view host logs and server notifications that they have been delegated management permission.

Host Log

This tab records the following types of logs:

  • Logs related to servers, such as adding or disjoining a server.
  • Logs related to DSM and package updates, such as installing or updating packages on a server.
  • Logs related to group and policy, such as creating, editing, or removing a policy or group.
  • Logs related to tasks, such as running tasks, canceling tasks, or importing scripts.

Server Notification

This tab displays a list of notifications triggered by the managed servers. To allow the notifications triggered by the managed servers to be displayed here, please enable the option Send notifications to CMS Host first (at Policy > Edit > Configure Rule > Notification > CMS).

Note:

  • Only administrators can clear all logs and notifications by clicking the Clear All button. This action is disabled for general users.
  • Host logs and server notifications can be exported in HTML or CSV format by clicking the Export button.
  • The display language of the logs and notifications are based on the system display language.
