Backup and Restoration

You can back up Photo Station and restore it to a previous version via the Hyper Backup package. Before you start backing up Photo Station, you need to install Hyper Backup from Package Center.

To back up Photo Station:

1. Go to DSM > Hyper Backup to start the Backup Wizard.
2. Follow the wizard, and choose Photo Station when you are prompted to select the applications to back up.
   Note: For more information on the preceding operations of the Backup Wizard, please refer to the Help article of Hyper Backup > Data Backup > Create Backup Task.
3. After the backup task is complete, the following Photo Station configurations will be backed up:
   • Custom logos and background images in your Photo Station
   • Text contents in About Me
   • Edited album properties (album cover, descriptions, etc.)
   • Smart albums
   • Shared albums
   • Edited general, location, and people tags
   • Slideshow music
   • The following options at Photo Station > Settings:
     • The option to enable Personal Photo Station service
     • Router port information: hostname (or IP address), HTTP and HTTPS ports
     • The option to set new folders as public albums
     • The option to enable face recognition

To restore Photo Station:

1. Go to DSM > Hyper Backup to restore the desired backup task.
   Note: For detailed steps, please refer to the Help article of Hyper Backup > Restore.
2. After the restoration is complete, the current settings and data of Photo Station will be overwritten.
