Getting Started

Welcome to Synology Calendar. This section will provide a general overview of its user interface.

The user interface contains three different sections:

1. Left sidebar: This section includes five icons:
   • App Launcher: Click to select and launch other packages installed on your Synology NAS, such as Synology MailPlus, Synology Chat, or Synology Office, without the hassle of opening new browser tabs.
   • Notifications: Click to view notifications if other users interact with you on Synology Calendar.
   • Search: Click to search for events by keywords, calendars, or date range.
   • Jump to: Click to jump to a specific date to create an event on that date.
   • Profile: Click to manage your profile settings where you can edit your nickname, description, email, and display language.
     • Settings: Click to access Synology Calendar's time format, alarm, other general settings, and to configure calendar settings.
     • Help: Click to open Synology Calendar help page.
     • About: Click to view Synology Calendar and DSM version information.
     • Logout: Click to sign out of Synology Calendar.
2. Main calendar window: This section is where you can view your calendar by Day, Week, Month, or Agenda. There are also the following icons:
   • Previous/Next: Click to switch between different days, weeks, or months.
   • Today: Click to jump back to the current day.
3. Right sidebar: The tabs for switching Calendar and Task are located at the bottom of this section:
   • Calendar:
     • Date Picker: Click a date you would like to view in the main calendar window. A blue dot on a particular date means that an event is scheduled.
     • Calendar List: View the list of all the calendars that you want to display in the main calendar window.
   • Task: You can add task lists in this section. Please refer to Creating Tasks for more details.
