How do I reset my C2 Identity password?

Purpose

This article will guide you on how to reset a password for Synology Account and company user registrants on C2 Identity.

Notes:

  • To determine your C2 Identity account type, please refer to this article.

Resolution

Synology Account

This account is only for root users or company admins that have full access to all C2 services after subscription.

  1. Sign in to your Synology Account.
  2. Go to Profile > Security > Account Security > Change Password.1.png
  3. Enter your current and new passwords, and then click OK.

If you forgot your password, reset it by clicking Forgot password on Synology sign-in portal. For other Synology Account related concerns, please refer to this article.

Company user account

This account is for company users that are authorized by company admins to use C2 services for business purposes.

  1. Sign in to your C2 Identity Account (https://identity.region.c2.synology.com).
    • Kindly specify your region and enter your account using this format: username@domainname.c2.region (e.g., jack@company.c2.eu).1
  2. Go to C2 Identity User Portal > Personal Settings > Security > Reset.2.png
  3. Enter your current and new passwords, and then click OK.

If you forgot your password, reset it by clicking Forgot password on C2 sign-in portal.2

Notes:

  1. The region (e.g., eu and us) indicates your C2 Identity’s data center location. To know your region, please contact your system administrator.
  2. The new password should meet password strength requirements to proceed.
