How can I access BeeStation files locally on my computer
Details
You can locally access your BeeStation files by enabling local access. If you also want to access via the SMB protocol, you must also enable SMB Service.
Access via a local account
- In a browser, go to BeeStation Portal and sign in. (How do I access my BeeStation Portal?)
- Click the ⋯ icon > System Settings > Advanced Settings > Local Access.
- Toggle to enable Local Account.
- Enter a username and password to create an account.
- Enter the IP address displayed on the screen into a web browser and sign in.1
Access via the SMB protocol
- Follow the steps in the previous section to enable Local Access and set up a local account.
- Then, on the same page, toggle to enable SMB Service.
- Enter the IP address displayed on the screen into File Explorer or Finder and sign in.
When you access BeeStation via SMB services, the BeeStation folder will contain the following folders:
/home
: This folder contains the files and photos of BeeFiles and BeePhotos./home/Files
: Contains files in My Files of BeeFiles./home/Photos
: Contains photos of BeePhotos.- Transferring a large number of photos through SMB to the
/home/Photos
folder could substantially consume BeeStation's computing resources as it processes these images. This might result in prolonged delays in viewing photos on the timeline and could potentially affect your regular access to BeeStation and other operations during this period. We suggest using the following alternatives:- The BeePhotos mobile app
- BeeStation for desktop
- Uploading through BeePhotos' web portal
- Transferring a large number of photos through SMB to the
/home/Cloud Services

/Media

: For Mac users, you can set up Time Machine and use this folder as the backup destination.
