Advanced Event (Smart Event)

In IP Camera > Edit > Event Detection > Advanced Event, you can enable ACAP (AXIS Camera Application Platform) events, Smart Events, and other advanced events. Once enabled, these events can be used in Monitor Center, Recording, Action Rule, and other applications.
Refer to this article for more information on supported camera brands and advanced event types.

To enable advanced events:

  1. Select the Enable on Surveillance Station checkboxes for the desired events.
  2. To trigger motion detection along with the events, select the Trigger Motion Event checkboxes.
  3. To configure the detection parameters, click Web UI to open the settings page.
  4. To determine what information to show on live feeds, click Edit Live View and modify settings.

Note:

  • The Perimeter Defender event will be triggered when any other detection event is triggered.
  • The Web UI button is only available when the selected application has been installed on the camera.
  • The Edit Live View button is only available for certain applications.
