Enable auto-forwarding and auto-reply functions to set up a personal email processing policy.
To forward mails to other mail addresses:
- Tick Enable Auto-Forwarding.
- Specify an email address in the field next to Forward mail to.
- If you want to keep a copy on DiskStation, tick Keep mail copy in the Inbox. Otherwise, mails will be deleted by Synology Mail Server after being forwarded.
To reply messages to the sender automatically:
- Tick Enable Auto-Reply.
- Enter a time range. Your auto-reply will remain active during this specified period.
- Specify the Subject. You can use the special key “$SUBJECT” to keep the original subject in your reply. For example, if your subject is “This is an autoreply...[Re: $SUBJECT]”, the “$SUBJECT” will represent the original subject once your reply is sent.
- Enter your customized Message.
Note:
- Anyone sending emails to you via alias will not receive your auto-reply messages.
To customize individual messages for specific senders:
- Tick Enable Auto-Reply and click the Advanced Settings button.
- Click Create.
- Enter the email address or domain of the sender, to whom you'd like to send an individual message. Please note that for each entry, you can only enter one address or domain.
- Specify the Subject. You can use the special key “$SUBJECT” to keep the original subject in your reply. For example, if your subject is "This is an autoreply...[Re: $SUBJECT]", the "$SUBJECT" will represent the original subject once your reply is sent.
- Enter your customized Message. The sender specified here will receive a different message from all the other senders.
Note:
- You can create up to 64 entries/sender addresses.
