Regional settings

In Appliance Console > Control Panel > Regional Options, you can change the date, time, and language settings for your ActiveProtect appliance.

Date and time settings

In Appliance Console > Control Panel > Regional Options > Time, you can view and adjust your backup appliance's date and time preferences and choose whether to set the date and time manually or automatically using an NTP (Network Time Protocol) server.

Set date and time preferences

Go to Date & Time and Time Zone to adjust the following settings:

  • Date format
  • Time format
  • Time zone

Set date and time manually

  1. Go to Time Setting and select Manually.
  2. Set the date and time.

Sync date and time automatically via an NTP server

  1. Go to Time Setting and select Synchronize with NTP server.
  2. Enter your NTP server's address or choose one from the list.
  3. Click Update Now to verify that your ActiveProtect appliance can successfully sync with the NTP server.
  4. Click Apply.

Language settings

In Control Panel > Regional Options > Language, you can select your preferred language for the ActiveProtect Manager (APM) interface and application codepage.

Display language

You can select your preferred display language or set it to match your default browser language.

Codepage

For applications that convert non-Unicode strings to Unicode, such as the FTP service and UPnP support, you'll need to choose the appropriate codepage from the list.

Note:

  • To configure language settings for email notifications, click the main menu icon and go to Management Center > System Settings > Notifications > Notification language.
