Import data to C2 Password
Import data to C2 Password
You can move items from a supported password management service to C2 Password by importing a file.
Prepare your file
The file you need to upload to import login items can be one of the following:
- A file directly exported from a supported password management service
- A filled-out C2 Password template
Export the file from other services
C2 Password currently supports the import of logins exported from the following services. Steps for exporting can be found in each article.
- Export data from Chrome (Edge/Opera/Brave/other Chromium browsers)
- Export data from Firefox
- Export data from Safari
- Export data from 1Password1
- Export data from Bitwarden1
- Export data from Dashlane
- Export data from LastPass1
Other supported services include, but are not limited to, NordPass, KeePass, and Keeper. If your items are stored in services we don't support, import them via the C2 Password template.

Troubleshooting
Upon uploading your file, the following error messages may appear if your CSV file contains invalid data that violates the following rules.
Your column contains incorrect header
If your file contains an incorrect header, the file can't be imported. Make sure you have correctly filled out the template.
Your column contains empty header
The column with empty header can't be imported. Check your file and correct it before importing it again.
Some items contain invalid data values
To solve the issue:
-
Download the file that has the following error indications in the Error column:
- required field: Indicates the Display_Name column is empty.
- exceeds N characters: Indicates the characters exceed the maximum allowed length.
- Follow the error indication to correct the format.
- Remove the Error column and save the file.
- Import the file again.
Notes:
- Bitwarden doesn't provide steps on how to uninstall their password manager. Refer to any one of the articles provided by the other password manager services for relevant information.
- On the AutoFill tab, click Edit next to User Names and Passwords and then click Remove All.
- Each record will be displayed as an item in your Vault. C2 Password does not check if the items in your imported file are duplicates of items in your Vault. This means that if an item already exists in Vault, importing the same item will create a duplicate Vault item. Before importing, we recommend that you do either of the following:
