Task

In Smart Time Lapse > Task, you can configure Smart Time Lapse tasks.

Note:

  • Smart Time Lapse does not record audio tracks.
  • Smart Time Lapse tasks for CMS recording servers can only be configured via recording servers.

To add a task:

  1. Click Add.
  2. Enter a Task name and select a Camera.
  3. Select a Task type.
    • Schedule Execution: Execute the task periodically. Select a Stream profile and set the Recording Schedule.
    • One Time Execution: Execute the task once. Specify which recordings to compress by setting the date and time span.
  4. Under Recording, set the compression rules. The results estimation will display based on your settings.
  5. Under Advanced, tick the checkbox and set the compression rules to reduce the compression ratio during events to keep more details.
    • Detection: Select events.
    • Time compression option: Select the video speed.
    • Customize time compression ratio (multiply by): Appears when you select Customize under Time compression option.
  6. Under Storage Settings, set the folder rules.
    • Recording storage: Select a folder. (Click Management to go to Recording > Storage.)
    • Customize archive folder name: You can tick the checkbox and specify a name for the recording folder.
  7. Under Rotation Rules, set a duration for Keep the files within (days). Recordings saved earlier than the specified time will be deleted automatically.

To edit a task:

  1. Select a task and click Edit.
  2. Modify the General, Settings, and Storage settings.

To enable or disable a task:

Select a task and click Enable > Enable/Disable.

To delete a task:

Select a task and click Delete.
