Service

At Service, you can check and modify whether services/packages on SRM are enabled and whether the SRM firewall allows/blocks Internet access to these services/packages.

1. View the service status

You can have an overview of which service/package on your Synology Router is enabled.

  1. Go to Network Center > Security > Service.
  2. Under the Enable header, you can see which SRM services/packages are enabled according to the status:
    • Enabled: Such services/packages are enabled and may allow/block Internet access depending on the firewall rules.
    • Disabled: Such services/packages are disabled and therefore do not allow Internet access.

2. Modify Internet access policy for services

After SRM services/packages are enabled, you can check whether the SRM firewall allows/blocks Internet access to them.

  1. Go to Network Center > Security > Service.
  2. Under the Allow Internet Access through firewall header, the status mark for each service/package informs whether Internet access is allowed/blocked:
    • Check: The firewall allows all Internet access to the service/package.
    • Dash: The firewall allows/blocks Internet access from certain IP addresses to the service/package.
    • Blank: The firewall does not allow any Internet access to the service/package.
  3. To switch between allowing and blocking all Internet access, click the checkbox to change the firewall policy.
  4. Click Save to save the settings.
