Universal Search

Universal Search allows you to search across applications and files on your Synology NAS. By indexing folders, you perform comprehensive searches by both filename and file content. Additionally, you can easily bookmark your frequent searches for quick access.

With Universal Search, you can locate:

  • Files: This includes images, music, videos, and more within indexed folders.
  • Package-specific files: Find notes in Note Station, and spreadsheets and documents in Synology Office.
  • Offline DSM Help documents.
  • Applications

Please note that Universal Search doesn't search external USB/SD storage spaces, remote folders, cloud folders, or .iso folders mounted to your Synology NAS.
