Video Station
Video Station is an ideal video organizer of your collection of movies, TV shows, home videos, and TV recordings, allowing you to watch videos on your computer, DLNA/UPnP-compliant DMAs, AirPlay devices, iOS/Android devices, and Windows Phone. In addition to system's default video libraries, you can also create custom libraries and assign access permissions to them. You can live stream and record digital TV programs using a USB DTV dongle with DVB-T, DVB-S/DVB-S2 standard or HDHomeRun with DVB-T standard plugged into your Synology NAS, view and edit video metadata whose information is retrieved automatically from the Internet, and create your own watchlist or favorite collection list for quick access.
Synology offers a variety of mobile apps on Apple's App Store, Android Market, and Windows Marketplace, enabling you to communicate with Synology NAS wherever Wi-Fi access is available. To connect to Video Station via mobile devices, you can download DS video with iOS/Android devices or Windows Phone to play videos on your mobile devices, or stream videos to your DMAs or AirPlay devices both at home and on the move. You can also browse and organize your collections of videos, record digital TV programs available at the place you are located, and manage your recording tasks and schedules.
Note:
- Digital TV recording via DTV dongles has been in the limited support status since September 2017.
