Universal Search
Universal Search offers global search into applications and files on your Synology NAS. By indexing folders through this package, you perform deep search by filename and by file content. All your searches can be remembered and favorited for quick file location. With Universal Search, everything on your Synology NAS is now a few clicks away.
Universal Search allows you to search the following items on your Synology NAS:
- Files (including images, music, and videos) in indexed folders
- Package-specific files:
- Notes in Note Station
- Spreadsheets and documents in Synology Office
- Offline DSM Help documents
- Applications
Note:
- Universal Search does not search into the following types of storage space:
- External USB/SD storage space
- Remote folders, cloud folders, and .iso folders mounted to your Synology NAS
