The message "500 Internal Server Error" appears when I connect to WordPress. What should I do?

Symptoms

The message "500 Internal Server Error" pops up after you set up a web portal for WordPress in Web Station. Refer to DSM 7.0 or DSM 6.2 for detailed solutions.

Resolution (DSM 7.0)

  1. Go to Web Station > Script Language Settings > PHP.
  2. Select the PHP profile of WordPress and click Edit.
  3. At the Extensions tab, tick all the checkboxes and save the settings.

Resolution (DSM 6.2)

  1. Check your current PHP version at Web Station > Virtual Host. In the following example, the PHP version is 7.2 and the document root is "web/wordpress".
  2. Go to PHP Settings, select your PHP version, and click Edit. At the Default Server Settings tab, tick all the checkboxes under the Extensions section.
