Connection Information (ActiveProtect Vault only)

Remote storage server addresses are displayed in General > Connection Information. You can click Edit Connection to modify the address, port number, and access keys.

Encryption Key

To ensure data security, you'll need the encryption key to unlock your remote storage or rejoin the ActiveProtect site. Keep your encryption key safely stored to avoid losing access to your data.

In General > Encryption Key, you can do the following:

  • Copy and Download the encryption key to access your remote storage.
  • Click Regenerate if you need to revoke or renew the encryption key. Once a new key is generated, the current key will be deactivated and will no longer unlock the remote storage. This action does not affect vaults or buckets that are linked to other sites.

Backup Catalog

Each backup catalog is exclusively managed by one backup server. In Backup Catalog you can view backup catalog details. Refer to the following statuses:

  • Managed: The catalog is managed by a backup server within this site.
  • Managed by another site: The catalog is managed by a backup server from another site.
  • Unmanaged: The catalog was previously managed by a backup server in an ActiveProtect site, but it is now unlinked. This status typically appears when a backup server is removed or when remote storage rejoins the site. Backup data in unmanaged catalogs can't be accessed.

    Note:

  • The catalog will be automatically removed when all data within it is deleted according to the retention settings.
