Info Center
Go to Control Panel > Info Center to view basic information regarding various aspects of your ActiveProtect appliance system, such as the hardware specifications, network, storage, and services.
General
The General tab displays basic information regarding your ActiveProtect appliance, such as serial number, model name, the amount of physical memory, APM version, time information, and system temperature status.
System temperature status
The system temperature status of the ActiveProtect appliance is indicated by green or orange lights.
- Green: The system temperature is normal.
- Orange: The temperature of the ActiveProtect appliance is too high. If the overheating issue persists, your device may shut down to avoid hardware malfunctions.
Network
The Network tab displays network information, such as DNS server, IP address, and subnet mask.
Storage
The Storage tab displays information related to drive status.
Status
The following are the possible status types of a drive:
- Healthy: This drive is in good condition, or its warning has been suppressed or disabled.
- Critical: This drive has encountered one or more of the following critical issues:
- Critical errors
- Read-only mode
- Reaching the limit of the SSD's endurance
- System Partition Failed: The system cannot access the partitions of this drive.
- Detected: A drive with storage pool data was detected. However, no storage pool has been assigned.
- Unrecognized: The drive is not compatible with your ActiveProtect appliance.
- Firmware update required: This drive has encountered one or more issues that can be resolved with a firmware update.
- Deactivated: This drive is deactivated.

Service
The Service tab only displays services that are enabled for the ActiveProtect appliance to ensure that all services and functionalities can work properly. If the ActiveProtect appliance is deployed in a private network, make sure these service ports are accessible and configure proper port forwarding for these services on your router.
Device Analytics
On the Device Analytics tab, you can do the following:
- Enable sending device analytics to allow Synology to collect your data to improve user experience.
- Allow this Synology ActiveProtect appliance to be displayed in Web Assistant to locate your Synology device within the local area network.
